Armed drone at Leipzig airport — Germany suspects foreign state involvement

An explosives-laden drone was discovered near the runway at Leipzig/Halle airport, prompting German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt to cut short his holiday. He described the incident as a "new quality of threat" in hybrid warfare and did not rule out the involvement of a "foreign power" given the drone's professional construction. The airport has since resumed normal operations.
