Explosive found near Leipzig runway after drone disrupts flights — airport back to normal

A suspicious object containing explosives was found near the runway at Leipzig/Halle airport on Wednesday, following an overnight unauthorised drone flight that temporarily halted air traffic. German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt cut short his holiday to deal with the situation. The airport has since returned to normal operations.
