Explosive drone found next to Ukrainian cargo plane at Leipzig-Halle Airport

German authorities launched a major overnight security operation at Leipzig-Halle Airport after an explosives-laden drone was found on the tarmac near a Ukrainian cargo plane. A bomb disposal robot was deployed and flights were diverted. A cargo aircraft that aborted its landing struck an unidentified object mid-air before landing safely.
