Vollering wins stage 5 of Tour de France Femmes as Ferrand-Prévot's title defence crumbles
Demi Vollering won stage five of the Tour de France Femmes, outsprinting overall race leader Marlen Reusser and Kasia Niewiadoma on the steep final climb of Mont Brouilly in the Beaujolais region. It is Vollering's fourth career stage win at the Tour de France Femmes. Defending champion Pauline Ferrand-Prévot lost further ground to the leading trio, putting her title defence in serious jeopardy.
