Regal Cinemas CEO backs Paramount-WBD merger, calls antitrust trial a "distraction"

Eduardo Acuna, CEO of Regal Global Entertainment — the second-largest US theater chain — has publicly backed the proposed merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery. He said the pending antitrust trial, scheduled for March 2027, "creates more uncertainty and distraction." Acuna called on all parties to sit down and reach an agreement.
