Man and woman found dead after eight-hour police siege in Charleville, Queensland

A 45-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were found dead inside a home in Charleville, around 600 km west of Toowoomba in Queensland, following a near eight-hour police siege. Officers were called to the property on Wednesday evening after reports of a serious assault. Several surrounding streets were placed in lockdown for the duration of the siege.
