GM and SAIC extend 20-year partnership, plan 30 new EVs by 2030

General Motors and China's SAIC Motor have announced a 20-year extension of their joint-venture partnership. The two companies plan to launch at least 30 new energy vehicles by 2030, with Buick and Cadillac set to take on a bigger role in the Chinese market. Last year GM sold nearly one million electric vehicles in China, with its joint ventures delivering almost 1.9 million vehicles total — a 2.3% increase year-on-year.
