72,000 crossed into Ceuta in one day — Spain suspects Moroccan intelligence orchestrated it

At the end of July, approximately 72,000 people crossed from Morocco into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta in a single episode — nearly matching the enclave's own population. Madrid officially described the event as a migrant crisis driven by smuggling networks, but growing evidence points to the involvement of Moroccan intelligence services, including military intelligence, in organising the crossing. Analysts are describing it as an act of hybrid warfare against Spain.
