Three midlife health factors can delay dementia onset by 13 years
A new study found that having normal blood pressure, no type 2 diabetes and not smoking between ages 45 and 65 was associated with nearly 13 additional years of dementia-free life on average. Researchers say that addressing cardiovascular risk factors in midlife could significantly reduce the risk of cognitive decline in later years.
