Meta platforms ran ads containing AI-generated child sexual abuse material

Researchers identified more than 50 ads running on Meta platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, that contained AI-generated child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in violation of the company's own policies. The findings point to a significant gap in Meta's content moderation systems. The ads were flagged and reported after bypassing automated filters.
