Slovakia and Austria break all-time heat records amid Central European heatwave

Slovakia and Austria both recorded their highest-ever temperatures as another extreme heatwave struck Central Europe. Temperatures across the region surged to exceptional levels, breaking previous national records in both countries. Heatwaves are hitting Europe with increasing frequency.
