Jeff Dean, Google's chief scientist and one of its longest-serving key engineers, is leaving the company after 27 years as Google announced a broad reshuffle of its AI divisions. His departure comes alongside that of Demis Hassabis and other senior AI figures, with Dean co-founding a new AI startup backed by Google.
