Poland invites Pope Leo XIV — foreign ministry discusses 2028 visit

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski met with Archbishop Tadeusz Wojda, head of the Polish Bishops' Conference, on Wednesday to discuss preparations for a papal visit. The Foreign Ministry confirmed that both the government and the presidency formally invited Pope Leo XIV to Poland. The visit is being planned for 2028.
