Gold could break $5,000 per ounce within 12 months

BNP Paribas analysts forecast that gold prices will gradually rise and break the psychological $5,000-per-ounce barrier within the next 12 months. The precious metal is currently trading at around $4,240 per ounce. The increase is expected to be gradual.
