Tumour organoid biobank from 256 patients maps cancer gene dependencies

Researchers have built a clinically annotated, multi-omic organoid biobank using tumour samples from 256 patients across five cancer types, published in Nature. The resource maps gene dependencies, identifies subtype-specific vulnerabilities and tracks treatment-driven changes at the molecular level. The authors say it expands both the mechanistic understanding of cancer and available models for precision oncology.
