AI model Virtual Tissues maps spatial proteomics across tissue scales
Virtual Tissues (VirTues) is a new AI foundation model for spatial proteomics, published in Nature, capable of capturing tissue organisation across multiple scales. It supports marker reconstruction, cell segmentation and typing, niche annotation, spatial biomarker discovery and patient stratification across diverse datasets. The tool is designed to work across heterogeneous tissue panels, broadening its potential clinical and research applications.
