Over 100 new DNA-binding motifs identified for human transcription factors

A panel of assays examining different aspects of DNA sequence specificity has uncovered more than 100 new binding motifs for putative human transcription factors. The expanded codebook significantly broadens understanding of how genes are regulated in human cells. The resource is expected to aid characterisation of many previously unstudied transcription factors.
