Broad Peak: Nirmal Purja's body recovered after avalanche kills four climbers

An avalanche on Broad Peak swept away a group of experienced climbers including legendary Himalayan mountaineer Nirmal Purja. All members of the expedition were confirmed dead. The Alpine Club of Pakistan announced that after a difficult rescue operation, the bodies of four climbers — including 43-year-old Purja — had been successfully retrieved.
