Level-3 heat alerts across most of Poland — up to 40°C in the southeast

Poland's Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) has issued level-3 heat alerts covering almost the entire country. Temperatures in the southeast could reach 40°C. A brief cool spell is forecast after the current heatwave and storms, but high temperatures are expected to return within the next 10 days.
