Polish antitrust watchdog fines food giant 4.2 million PLN over illegal farmer contracts

Poland's Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) has fined a major food industry company 4.2 million PLN for using contract templates that violated the law in dealings with farmers. The regulator noted the fine could have been substantially higher. This is another case of a large company being penalised for mistreating agricultural suppliers.
