High wildfire risk in Polish forests – east and south worst affected

Record temperatures and intense sunshine have sharply raised wildfire risk in Polish forests. The situation is worst in the eastern and southern parts of the country, while the west and north — recently hit by storms — face lower risk. The forecast for the coming days offers little relief.
