Etihad ordered to refund €2,387 — Munich court rules stopover counts as package tour
A Munich regional court ruled that Etihad Airways bears the same liability as a travel agency when it bundles a flight with a multi-day hotel stay. In the case at hand, a four-day stopover in Abu Dhabi was deemed a separate component of a package holiday. The airline must reimburse the passenger €2,387 for a hotel she booked independently following problems with the journey.
