Air India Phuket–Delhi flight drops 300 feet in severe turbulence – 17 injured
Seventeen passengers were injured aboard an Air India flight from Phuket to Delhi after the aircraft encountered severe turbulence and suddenly dropped around 300 feet (90 metres). The incident occurred mid-flight over Asia. Injured passengers were taken to hospital after landing.
