Air raid sirens silent in 10 Polish counties as Russian missile flew overhead

An investigation by Wirtualna Polska found that sirens failed to sound in 10 of 17 assessed counties even as a Russian missile flew over Polish territory. In Biłgoraj county, where the missile eventually fell, the duty firefighter received the order to activate sirens by email — five minutes after impact. In Tomaszów county, a staff member couldn't reach the office in time, while in Puławy a worker missed the alert SMS.
