Russia strikes Kyiv region — 17 killed as Patriot missiles run out

In the early hours of August 5, the Russian army launched a massive ballistic missile strike on the Kyiv region, firing more than 20 missiles. Ukraine's air defence failed to intercept a single projectile due to a shortage of Patriot interceptors. The attack killed 17 people.
