Żabka hit by cyberattack — Żappka app data safe, discount outage unrelated to hackers

Polish convenience store chain Żabka has officially confirmed it was the victim of a cyberattack, one of two incidents recorded within a single week. The company insists that user data from its Żappka loyalty app was not compromised. A widely reported outage of the discount system on 2 August was unrelated to the hacker activity, according to both the company and digitalisation minister Krzysztof Gawkowski.
