Median doctor's pay exceeds 24,000 PLN — new law lets agency collect PESEL data

A new law taking effect Wednesday allows Poland's Agency for Health Technology Assessment (AOTMiT) to collect more precise salary data for medical professionals, linked to their PESEL identity numbers. Agency head Daniel Rutkowski assured that the highest-level data security measures will be in place. The median gross salary for doctors currently exceeds 24,000 PLN.
