Polish state spending tops 50% of GDP — 53,000 PLN per person
According to a Forum for Responsible Development report, Polish state spending has exceeded 50% of GDP, amounting to over 53,000 PLN per person. Spending on pensions alone surpasses combined outlays on health, education and science. Debt servicing costs have already exceeded the value of the 800+ child benefit programme, warns Wednesday's "Rzeczpospolita."
