Red weather alert for half of Poland as temperatures may near 40°C in the south

Poland's meteorological institute IMGW has issued its highest-level red alert for many voivodeships due to extreme heat. Temperatures will exceed 30°C across most of the country, with the south-east potentially approaching 40°C. Severe storm warnings are also in effect for parts of the country.
