Poland's spending on pensions and disability benefits exceeds the combined public expenditure on health, education and science, according to a report by the Civil Development Forum (FOR). The cost of servicing the country's rapidly growing public debt already exceeds expenditure on the 800+ child benefit programme. Experts warn that without structural reforms, public finances will continue to deteriorate.
