Chipotle pulls jalapeños from restaurants after salmonella sickens 110 people

Chipotle removed jalapeños from some of its restaurants on Tuesday after identifying the peppers as a potential source of a salmonella outbreak that has sickened 110 people in the US. The company traced the ingredient through its supply chain and identified jalapeños from a common lot as a possible culprit. Chipotle replaced the suspect supplies with peppers from different growers while the investigation continues.
