NSF launches industry PhD programme for over 250 students

The US National Science Foundation (NSF) is launching a pilot "industry PhD" programme that will provide four years of financial support to more than 250 students gaining experience in industry. The initiative is part of a global trend bridging academia and the private sector, aimed at improving knowledge transfer between universities and business.
