Interpol: AI drives over half of cybercrime in Africa

Interpol reports that artificial intelligence now drives more than half of cybercrime in Africa, as digital scams surge across the continent. AI is being used to create deepfakes, automate phishing attacks and scale fraud operations. The findings are prompting security organisations to urgently revise their protective strategies.
