Jetstar to charge up to $52 for overhead locker bags from February 2027

Australian budget carrier Jetstar will introduce a charge of up to $52 for passengers who want to use overhead lockers for carry-on baggage, starting in February 2027. The airline will simultaneously remove the existing 7 kg carry-on weight limit while retaining size restrictions. Jetstar says the change aims to reduce the stress of passengers struggling to find overhead locker space.
