Pluto's atmosphere may be starting to collapse as it moves into the outer solar system
For the first time since Pluto's discovery, the dwarf planet is moving into the outer solar system, a journey that is slowly thinning out its atmosphere. Scientists are observing a drop in atmospheric pressure as Pluto moves further from the Sun. The process could eventually lead to a complete collapse of the dwarf planet's atmosphere.
