AMD revenue up 50%, data center sales double driven by AI demand

AMD reported quarterly earnings with total revenue up 50% year-over-year and its Data Center division surging 107% to $6.7 billion, fuelled by AI infrastructure demand. Gaming revenue fell 31%. Despite the strong headline numbers, AMD's stock dropped following the release of the results.
