Polish tax rules: genesis allocation tax-free, airdrop taxable
Poland's tax authority has issued two rulings on free token distributions that appear contradictory but follow a single logic: the decisive question is whether a market capable of valuing the tokens exists at the moment they arrive in the wallet. Genesis allocations, distributed before any market exists, are not taxed on receipt; airdrops delivered once a market is live are treated as taxable income at that point.
