Warsaw's WIG index tops 150,000 points for the first time in historic record
The WIG index on the Warsaw Stock Exchange closed at 151,485.19 points on Tuesday, breaking the 150,000-point barrier for the first time in history. Finance Minister Andrzej Domański attributed the record to strong economic fundamentals, improved management of state-owned companies, and growing investor confidence in Poland.
