Kenya caps overseas carbon credit sales at 10 million metric tons through 2030
Kenya has unveiled operational rules for its carbon market, capping the overseas sale of carbon credits at 10 million metric tons through 2030 under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. The new framework sets out how internationally transferred mitigation outcomes can be authorised and traded. Kenya is among the first African nations to establish such detailed national rules for the carbon credit market.
