S&P 500 hits all-time high, approaches 7,700 points

The S&P 500 broke its previous record set on June 2 on Tuesday, reaching all-time highs for the first time in two months. During the session the index gained around 1.3%, trading near 7,700 points compared to the previous closing record of 7,620.90. The rally was driven primarily by the index's largest constituent companies.
