Heatwave sweeps Poland with temperatures potentially exceeding 40°C

A mass of hot air is moving into Poland, with temperatures forecast to reach 40°C or higher. The heat is expected to remain over the country for at least several days. Meteorological maps show the so-called "heat path" moving across successive regions of Poland.
