Google Passkey Flaw: Hackers Could Hijack Your Passkeys via Malware

Security researchers from Palo Alto Networks' Unit 42 found three exploits targeting Google's passkey system, dubbed Pass-ta-key, Silver Pass-ta-key and Golden Pass-ta-key. The most dangerous method could steal the master secret protecting all synced passkeys, potentially granting access to multiple accounts. A critical caveat: the victim's device must first be infected with malware. Google has since patched the vulnerabilities, with some services like eBay also applying their own fixes.
