Malware can decrypt all Google passkeys synced on Windows, researchers warn

Researchers at Palo Alto Networks' Unit 42 have identified three malware attack paths that can compromise Google Password Manager's synced passkeys on Windows PCs. The most severe technique, dubbed "Golden Pass-ta-key," allows attackers to recover the master secret and decrypt all passkeys linked to an account. Crucially, all three attacks require malware to already be running on the victim's device, making endpoint security the primary line of defence.
