Spain mends EU relations after mass migrant influx into Ceuta

Spain has mended relations with fellow EU nations after a mass influx of migrants into the North African enclave of Ceuta sparked criticism from both sides of the Atlantic. Spanish authorities confirmed that of the 72,000 people who crossed from Morocco into Ceuta last week, all but 2,000 have since returned. The episode had strained Spain's standing within the EU over its management of the bloc's external border.
