Ukraine's SBU warns Russian intelligence is using fake online dates to assassinate soldiers
Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) has warned that Russian intelligence has significantly stepped up assassination attempts against Ukrainian soldiers using so-called "honey trap" operations — fake online romantic encounters used to lure military personnel into deadly meetings. The SBU urged soldiers to exercise extreme caution in online communications. The operations involve fabricated profiles used to arrange in-person meetings where attacks take place.
