Slightly over half of Russia's 300,000 troops mobilised in 2022 still on front line last year
Of approximately 300,000 Russians mobilised in 2022, only slightly more than half remained on the Ukrainian front as of last year, according to estimates by Janis Kluge of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs, based on budget data analysis. The remainder were killed, wounded or otherwise removed from combat. The figures point to catastrophic losses sustained by the Russian military.
