Ukraine's energy minister: end of year will be very hard, Putin is drawing us into a war of attrition
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal warns that Russia is waging an intense campaign to destroy Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which will decisively shape any future peace talks. He describes a "pessimistic scenario" in which Russia "bleeds but drags Ukraine" into a prolonged war of attrition. The end of the year could prove extremely difficult for Ukrainian citizens cut off from energy supplies.
