Ex-chief of Szpital Południowy: deputy minister's visit was a show of force
The former head of Szpital Południowy in Warsaw told Onet that deputy health minister Katarzyna Kacperczyk visited her office in what she perceived as a "show of force" intended to strengthen the position of then-surgery chief Dr Emil Jędrzejowski. The Health Ministry confirmed the meeting took place but offered a different account of why it occurred. The case sheds light on the management of one of Warsaw's largest public hospitals.
