Ellison: opposition to Paramount–Warner Bros. merger is really about control of CNN

Paramount CEO David Ellison wrote in a New York Times op-ed that he believes the antitrust lawsuit filed by 12 states and the Writers Guild of America against the Paramount–Warner Bros. Discovery merger is fundamentally about whether he can be trusted to run CNN. He pledged he would not "bend newsrooms to my views." The merger faces ongoing legal and political opposition.
