Fake "hardware audit" emails clone Coldcard site; losses near $130M

Hardware wallet companies are warning of a surge in phishing attacks targeting Coldcard users. Fraudulent emails posing as a "coordinated hardware audit" direct victims to a cloned Coldcard website that installs remote-access software on their devices. Losses linked to the Coldcard exploit have reached nearly $130 million.
